Ashlara Gibby

Chief Financial Officer

Ashlara Gibby is an accomplished financial executive with over 20 years of leadership experience, specializing in government contract accounting. Currently leading the finance and accounting operations for Adapt Forward, she has been instrumental in managing complex initiatives such as the establishment of four related entities, compliance with GAAP, FAR, and DCAA regulations, and the development of financial models to support growth and succession planning. Her expertise extends to overseeing financial analysis for Department of Defense (DoD) programs, spearheading transitions from outsourced operations to self-managed platforms, and leading cross-functional teams in high-pressure environments.
Ashlara holds an MBA from Charleston Southern University, where she honed her expertise in corporate finance and business strategy. She also earned a Baccalaureate in Accounting and Business Administration from Mary Baldwin University in Virginia. Ashlara is a member of the Charleston, SC CFO council as well as the Global CFO Council.

Michael Jenks

Chief Innovation Officer

Michael Jenks is the co-founder and Chief Innovation Officer of Adapt Forward, bringing over 25 years of experience at the intersection of advanced cyber operations and enterprise strategy. Known for combining deep technical expertise with strong business acumen, Michael has a proven track record of building and scaling high-impact organizations across the national security and commercial cybersecurity sectors.
In 2020, he co-founded Interpres Security, a cybersecurity SaaS platform that enabled Fortune 1000 enterprises to implement vendor-agnostic Continuous Threat Exposure Management (CTEM) at scale. Under his leadership, Interpres helped define a new cybersecurity category, accelerated market adoption, and delivered measurable risk reduction ultimately leading to its acquisition by CyberProof in 2024.
Michael returned to Adapt Forward in 2025 to modernize execution flows and assist in strategic expansion within the defense and intelligence community.

Chris Currie

VP of Business Development

Chris Currie serves as the Vice President of Business Development for Adapt Forward. With over 15 years of expertise in Business Development, Capture Management, Proposal Management, and Foreign Military Sales, Chris is a seasoned executive who drives strategic growth and cultivates key partnerships within the defense sector. His extensive portfolio includes contract acquisitions and program management experience with the U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force, Space Force, Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA), and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), including the U.S. Coast Guard. Chris’s ability to navigate complex procurement landscapes has consistently resulted in successful, high-value awards that strengthen national security capabilities. A retired U.S. Air Force veteran, Chris brings unparalleled insight and dedication to the mission. Since retiring in 2011, he has leveraged his operational knowledge and leadership skills to deliver innovative solutions tailored to the needs of government and military clients. Chris holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Western Governors University and is committed to advancing Adapt Forward’s mission to support the warfighter through cutting-edge solutions and exceptional service. His leadership and vision continue to position the company as a trusted partner within the defense industry.

Abigail Bauman

VP Human Resources 

Abigail Bauman is a seasoned Human Resources executive with over twenty years of experience driving strategic initiatives and organizational transformation, primarily within the government contracting industry. As the Vice President of Human Resources at Cryptodira, she specializes in team development, process optimization, benefits and compensation, and HR technology.
Committed to staying ahead of industry trends, Abigail is an active member of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) Executive Network, where she collaborates with peers on evolving workforce challenges and regulatory changes. Her leadership philosophy centers on fostering a dynamic, people-first culture that empowers teams and enhances operational efficiency.
Outside of the office, Abigail enjoys spending time outdoors on her family’s 25-acre homestead, occasionally traveling with her husband and embraces the excitement of being a dedicated sports mom to her two children.
